Zhang Jianfei Meets Foreign Bank Delegation for Better Communication

　　Vice Governor of Hunan Province Zhang Jianfei met in Changsha with a foreign bank delegation headed by Vice Chairman of the Shanghai Banking Association (SBA) and Deputy Chief Executive of the Bank of East Asia (China) Limited Raymond Chang on the afternoon of November 13, urging foreign-funded banks in Shanghai to open up branches in Hunan and carry out business cooperation.

　　The Bank of East Asia (China) Limited is planning to open up the fourth branch in mainland China and hoped to enhance communication with Hunan, Changsha in particular, to land their office here.

　　SBA represents a total of 169 members. The ten foreign-funded member banks visiting Hunan are Commerzbank, the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Standard Chartered Bank (SCB), Mizuho Bank, Hang Seng Bank, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, Royal Bank of Scotland, Hong Kong Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC), Taiwan Cooperative Bank, and Bank of East Asia (BEA). Among them, SCB, HSBC, and BEA have already set up branches in Changsha. Counting in the First National City Bank of New York and Shinhan Bank, the city now has five foreign banks.
