Joint Conference of Hunan provincial government and China Development Bank was held in Changsha, in the afternoon of December 24, and relevant agreement of Memorandum on Comprehensively Deepening Strategic Cooperation was signed. According to the agreement, the total amount of financing published by the CBD is expected to exceed 100 billion Yuan which will facilitate the economic and social development of Hunan. Du Jiahao, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, Governor of Hunan Provincial People's Government and Hu Huaibang, Chairman of the China Development Bank attended the conference and witnessed the signing ceremony.
Du spoke highly of China Development Bank for their achievements on implementing national strategy for accelerating reform and opening up and promoting local economy. He pointed out that China Development Bank has consistently supported Hunan’s economy by effectively pushing up economic and social development of Hunan and laying solid foundation for further deepening cooperation between the two sides. At present, Hunan is on its way of speeding up the construction of a well-off society in an all-round way. The provincial government expects CBD to enhance the support to Hunan on gaining more regional advantages, on accelerating infrastructure construction and new urbanization, on poverty alleviation in poor areas as Wuling Mountain and Luoxiao Mountain and on the adjustment and upgrade of industrial structure. Hunan will beef up efforts to create a good working and living environment for financial institutions’ development in Hunan including China Development Bank.
