World Ceramics Art Park of Liling city, a culture theme project, is established to promote large industrial developments, which is organized by city and provincial party committees and Governments of Liling City and Zhuzhou City, and jointly investment of Liling City Government and CDT group, with a total investment of 2.7 billion Yuan, 2014. World Ceramics Art Park has a exterior outlook of pottery, which is designed by Creutzfeldt-Jakob Studio from Italy. It shows Liling’s ceramic culture, with its deep history and a new achievement in the industrial era, and it has international impacts for the high-quality ceramic industrial. The park has functions of exhibitions, accommodations, production capabilities, with its Creation Center built of ceramic art, Experience Centre, Ceramic art museum, a square, Museum of Li duo, Turandot Hotel and a large-scale sculpture Plaza.
Liling city has a long history of ceramic production, and the city is named as the “City of China ceramic history and culture ". In 2014, the ceramics production in Liling City reached to 49 billion Yuan, with an increase of 15.4% of 2013, and ceramic industry provides nearly 150,000 persons for employment. Liling’s ceramic products have developed into five major categories with more than 4,000 varieties, which export to more than 150 countries and regions around the world, with export value of 800 million dollars.
