A Restaurant in Changsha: Robots Serve at Tables

　 Rednet ( Changsha): A traditional Hunan cuisine restaurant attracted onlookers’ attention by its robots waiters, in Changsha city, June 15. Located near West Bus Station, the restaurant was packed by customers not as usual a small flow of people at noon. "Most people come for the robot waiters, " said Lin Faming, the restaurant owner. 


    "Uniformed" in yellow and white outlook and heart shape eyes, these robot waiters are friendly and polite ones; when they are stopped by customers, they can automatic speak, “please let me pass”. They walk along a magnetic track automatically to the location of their target customers and continue to move not until customers get their dishes.

　　  Lin Faming told reporters that from Harbin he brought these robots of various functions for a restaurant including waiting at tables, taking orders, welcoming customers and cutting noodles. The most popular ones are mini-robots that can have dialogues with children, with dancing and telling stories to kids. The restaurant had more customers than before because of these robots since its opening on June 13.
