Secretary Xu Shousheng Meets CCIEE Zhang Xiaoqiang

　　On the afternoon of June 30, Xu Shousheng, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, met in Changsha with the research group on the transitional zone from the eastern coastal areas to the central and western areas as well as the junction zone of the Yangtze River Open Economic Belt and the Coastal Open Economic Belt (transitional zone and junction zone) led by Zhang Xiaoqiang, deputy director of the China Center for International Economic Exchanges (CCIEE).

　　Xu said that in recent years Hunan has been adhering to “transitional zone and junction zone” strategic orientation and coordinately promoting the "Four Comprehensives" (comprehensively build a moderately prosperous society, deepen reform, implement the rule of law and strengthen Party discipline), which has further consolidated Hunan’s foundation for economic development and highlighted its regional advantages. Development of Hunan's four major areas has been included in the national strategy, and the province's economy and society has maintained sustainable and healthy development. He hoped CCIEE could play its role in gathering of talents, increase cooperation with Hunan, and provide powerful intellectual support for Hunan's future advancement.

　　Zhang said Hunan is encountering a series of significant opportunities for development. CCIEE will conduct survey and research based on the "transitional zone and junction zone" strategic orientation and Hunan's reality, thus providing reference for decision making in Hunan's reform and development.
