6 Actions Taken to Keep Food Quality

According to the Hunan Provincial Animal Husbandry and Aquatic Products Bureau on July 27 that Hunan will successively carry out six major special actions to ensure the dining safety by the end of this year.
 
Since the beginning of this year, all departments of animal husbandry and aquaculture of Hunan have been working on improving supervision and early-warning mechanism. Departments at both provincial and municipal levels have expanded sampling scope and intensified inspection efforts, facilitating favorable quality and safety situation of animal husbandry and aquatic products. In the first half of the year, the provincial departments of animal husbandry and aquatic products and departments of public security jointly conducted special actions, guaranteeing the dining security by blocking the source and grasping key-points.
 
In the second half of the year, the peak season of animal husbandry and aquatic products, six special actions will focus on rectifying clenbuterol, banned substances in fresh milk, antibacterial for animals, pig slaughtering, banned drugs for aquatic products, and fake agricultural materials. The actions strictly crack down on criminal behaviors that are dangerous to the quality of livestock and poultry products, such as producing and selling illegal additives like clenbuterol, illegal slaughtering, producing and selling fake and bad-quality farming inputs, as well as discarding, selling, purchasing and slaughtering sick and dead animals dying of illness.
