Yuan Longping Inspects Super Rice Base in Longhui County

Yuan Longping, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, inspected the demonstration base of high-yield super-hybrid rice in Yanggu’ao Township, Longhui County on August 4, to investigate the growth of rice in heading stage.

Academician Yuan initiated the 5th round of experiment on super hybrid rice this year. The experiment is being carried out in two 200-mu (13.34 hectares) high-yield super hybrid rice bases respectively in Leifeng Village and Niuxingzui Village. Yuan urged the principals of the bases to step up the final-phase management of rice to facilitate high yield.
