Changsha Opens Largest Live Cattle Market in Central China

On August 10, the largest live cattle trading market in central China, located in the Agricultural Products Logistics Center on the west bank of the Xiangjiang River, Changsha, was officially operated. The market will radiate places including Jiangxi, Guangdong, Fujian, Shanghai, and Anhui, with an estimated annual trading volume of over three billion yuan.
 
In order to solve problems of inconvenient purchasing, selling, and plague prevention, the center decided to set up a "home" for cattle businessmen. Besides reconstructing cowsheds of standard safety, it has also established supporting facilities like cow urine & cow dung treatment system and disinfection treatment system. To facilitate cattle dealers' business and living, the market has provided accommodation and children education services.
 
The market will make use of its advantages in location and platform to enhance the level of standardization, branding and modernization of overall agricultural and animal products, and promote integration of agricultural and animal product resources, thus to make contributions to providing healthy beef food for people.
