A Dream Incubator of Overseas Chinese Inaugurated in Changsha

“The ’Dream Incubator of Overseas Chinese (DIOC)’ offers a common development platform for overseas Chinese throughout the world to give full play their advantages to build a brighter future together,” said Liu Chengyu, counselor of Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Los Angeles, the USA. Liu made the remark in Changsha on May 23 and added that it will become a paradise for overseas Chinese to explore innovation and entrepreneurship.

 

Changsha DIOC, located in the Changsha National Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone, will be the ninth innovative industrial cluster for overseas Chinese businessmen in China. Counselor Liu, together with over 300 international and domestic overseas Chinese representatives witnessed the significant moment of inauguration ceremony of DIOC.

 

Different from other DIOC, Changsha DIOC boasts distinctive characteristics. Firstly, it enjoys resources provided by such three places as the central China's first "state-level new area"—Xiangjiang New Area, Pilot Zone for Two-Oriented (energy-saving and environmentally friendly) Society, and Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan National Self-dependent Innovation Demonstration Zone. Secondly, there is a 100-bilion-yuan industrial cluster on advanced equipment manufacturing and a 10-billion-yuan industrial cluster on electronic information and new material. Initiatives have been taken to develop such emerging industries as mobile internet, Beidou Navigation Satellite system, 3D printing, and big data. Thirdly, nearly 300 overseas Chinese ventures have settled here with more than 5000 overseas skilled professionals.
