Changsha Airport Entry-Exit Passengers Increase 4 Times in 10 Years

　　At 23:39 on December 31, 2016, Changsha entry-exit frontier inspection security staff finished inspection for LAI FONNG LING from Malaysia, the 2148367th entry-exit passenger received by Changsha airport of the year. The entry-exit passenger number of 2016 was 4 times more than that of 2006, and the number of inspected flights topped 13,800, up 29.8% by that of the previous year. Both data reached a record high, keeping a rapid growth over the past ten years.

　　Hunan has taken efforts to expand its association with the world in 2016. Changsha airport developed accordingly. Changsha Huanghua International Airport currently operates 53 international flights to and from countries including USA, Germany, and Australia, as well as regions including Hong Kong and Taiwan. More than 260 regular entry-exit flights serve every week.

　　Among the entry-exit passengers, domestic citizens occupied 66.2% of the total, increased by 36.9 over 2015. Thailand, South Korea, and Malaysia became the top three hot destinations, among which Thailand was most preferred by Hunan tourists. Foreign passengers accounted for 25.9% of the entry-exit number, up by 23.1% from 2015. South Korea, Thailand, and Malaysia were the top three tourist source markets.
