Hunan Wins 12 State Science and Technology Awards

　　A ceremony for China’s most prestigious awards in science and technology for 2016 has been held in Beijing on Jan. 9, 2017. Hunan had 12 projects among the award list, including five Hunan-charged projects, and seven participating ones. Among the five projects, four were recommended by Hunan Province. As for the total number of awarded recommendations and awarded projects, Hunan, Jiangsu, and Shandong were tied for the 7th place among all provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions of China.

　　The awarded projects of Hunan Province involved such sectors as agriculture, information, textile and other light industries, traditional Chinese medicine, metallurgy, and machinery. The project achievements have been promoted to industrialized production, and harvested economic, ecological, and social benefit.
