Yankoushan Village: Miao folks for over a thousand year

岩口山妇女拉上红绸，备下拦门酒，采风团喝下方可进村。

　　Yankoushan women pull up a red ribbon and prepare Lanmen Wine. The interview team drink the wine before entering the village.

始建于明朝天启年间的“苗王寨”，岁月更迭，至今仍保存完好。

　　Miao Wang Zhai originally built in the reign of Emperor Tianqi of the Ming Dynasty, has been well-preserved so far.

岩龙盘洞，进洞的入口处仅一座小门，呈“一夫当关万夫莫开”之势。

　　At the entrance of Yanlongpan Cave, there is only one small gate where one good man can hold a hundred, fighting down.

始建于明朝万历年间的杨鸿古宅，石砖斑驳，门上布满青苔。

　　Old Yang Hong mansion, originally built in the reign of Emperor Wanli of the Ming Dynasty, is covered with moss at the gate and motted stone bricks.

岩口山虽然清静并不枯燥，村民们保留和传承了苗族的龙灯、花灯、阳戏等民间传统文化。每逢佳节，岩口山村民便会自发举行苗族特色歌舞表演。

　　Yankoushan is quiet but not dreary. Villagers preserve and inherit folk traditional culture of Miao people, such as dragon lantern, flower lantern, Yang Opera, etc. On every festival, Yankoushan villagers would spontaneously perform speciality dance of Miao people.
