　　太阳坪村位于湖南省靖州县太阳坪乡最东部，最先迎来日出，“太阳岛”因此而得名，现被誉为“中国最阳光的乡村”。信步太阳坪村田间垄头，简直就如同步入一片世外桃源。整个半岛布局整齐规划，果棚搭建参差有序，每栋村民的小洋楼周围，都种满了成片的桃树、梨树、杨梅、野山葡萄……

　　Located at the the farthest east of Taiyangping town, Jingzhou County, Hunan Province, Taiyangping Village is hailed as “the most sunny village of China” for it welcomes the sunrise the earliest. The village has a well-organized layout planning on western-style buildings surrounded by varied orchards such as peach trees, pear trees, red bayberry trees, grape trees, etc.

　　据统计，太阳坪村少数民族人口仅占总人口数的81%，但以苗族歌鼟为代表的民族文化却积淀深厚。千百年来，苗族歌鼟形成了优美的旋律，和谐的歌声。有人曾按其风格、旋律、内容、演唱方式，民族习惯等分为茶歌调、酒歌调、饭歌调、山歌调、担水歌调、三音格调等。

　　Statistically, Taiyangping Village has 81% of the population of minorities and profound ethic culture represented by Miao songs. For thousands of years, Miao songs have formed beautiful melodies generally categorized as tea-song melody, wine-song melody, meal-song melody, water carrying song melody, tri-syllable melody, etc. according to style, content, singing mode, national habits, etc.
