老家寨村的建筑物主要以当地片石构造而成，间或有土砖，屋顶盖小青瓦，或铺茅草。

　　Buildings in Laojiazhai Village are mainly made of local rubbles, sometimes cob bricks, with a blue tile or thatch roof.

苗家老婆婆在家门口纺织，整个村庄干净利落，给人以宁静别致的感觉。

　　湖南省凤凰县山江镇老家寨村，是三江苗寨的一部分，是湘西州、凤凰县两级旅游部门开发乡村旅游，精心打造的古苗寨开发样板。近年来，山江镇党委、政府高度重视老家寨的保护与建设，按照“坚持保护传统基础上坚持创新发展”原则、全域旅游规划以及旅游扶贫思路，把老家寨作为苗族文化旅游景区的精品来打造，规划出以自然景观、人文景观、民俗风情相融合，以苗族传统文化取胜，立足景区之林，形成新的苗文化景区。

　　As part of Sanjiang Miao village in Fenghuang County, Laojiazhai Village is the ancient Miao village tourism model developed by tourism departments at the level of Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture and Fenghuang County. In recent years, Shanjiang Township Party Committee and Government has paid high attention to protection and construction of Laojiazhai village. In the principle of “the tradition protection and innovative development”, and following the all-regional tourism planning and poverty-alleviation through tourism, Laojiazhai village is built to be quality Miao cultural tourist attraction with good integration of natural landscape, human landscape, and folk custom.

　　2013年以来，凤凰县共整合投放各类资金1200多万元，实施完成了村内石板路2公里、排污系统、山寨大门、沿水库长廊水榭、环湖游步道2.6公里、亲水码头、停车场860平方米、进村公路硬化扩宽3公里等系列项目建设，村寨基础设施建得到不断改善。

　　Since 2013, Fenghuang County has been invested over 12 million yuan to complete construction of flagstone road in 2 km, sewage disposal system, the village’s entrance door, corridors and waterside pavilions along the reservoir, footpath in 2.6 km around the lake, the pier, the parking lot in 860 m2, entrance road extended in 3km, etc.
