Provincial Poverty-stricken Village Develops Planting Industry

The photo taken on Feb. 19 shows villagers are planting seedlings at a greenhouse in Gaolongqiao Village, Baishidu Town, Yizhang County.

　　Gaolongqiao Village, a poverty-stricken village at provincial level, established cooperatives for vegetable and flue-cured tobacco cultivation last year. It transferred the contractual right of land of 2500 mu (166.7 hectares) to develop planting industry such as growing vegetables in greenhouses and waxberry. The move helped many villages to increase income and get rid of poverty.
