Du Jiahao meets with President of the Republic of Tatarstan

　　Rednet: Du Jiahao, Secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of Hunan People's Congress, met with Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan (a republic of the Russian Federation), on February 23, Changsha.

　　杜家毫代表省委、省政府欢迎鲁斯塔姆·明尼哈诺夫率团来湘访问。他说，自2014年我与总统阁下会面并签署两地政府合作协议以来，湖南与鞑靼斯坦的交往日益密切，相关合作取得积极进展。近3年来，湖南继续保持良好发展态势，地区生产总值去年首次突破3万亿元大关，产业结构调整步伐加快，超算、磁浮以及电子信息、轨道交通、新材料等一大批高新技术和新兴产业迅速发展，正朝着形态更高级、分工更合理、结构更优化、技术更先进的方向演进。当前中俄关系正处于历史最好时期，湖南也正积极筹备开通长沙至莫斯科的直飞航线，不断密切与俄罗斯以及鞑靼斯坦的联系。希望通过总统阁下此次访湘，进一步加强双方政府、企业和民间的交流交往，拓展在各领域的全方位合作，实现共同发展。

　　On behalf of Hunan Provincial Government, Du Jiahao expressed his welcome to Rustam Minnikhanov and his team.He said that Hunan and Tatarstan have achieved positive progress by increasing contacts and cooperation since the cooperation agreement between the two Governments was signed in 2014. In the past three years, Hunan has maintained a good development with over 3 trillion yuan of GDP for the first time in last year, and industrial structure adjustment has been sped up, with the rapid developments in a large number of high-tech and new industries such as Maglev transportation, electronic information, rail transport, new materials. The structural adjustment tends to be more reasonable in division of labour ,optimization, advanced technology development. The current Sino-Russian relation is at the best in period of history that Changsha is preparing for the opening of direct flights from Taipei to Moscow; it can make a close contact for Hunan with Russia and Tatarstan. He hoped that to achieve common development the two sides will enhance mutual exchanges of Governments, businesses and civil communication, by expanding all-round cooperation in various fields, through this visit of President of the Republic of Tatarstan in Hunan.
