Hunan provincial leaders join voluntary tree planting

　　红网长沙2月28日讯（时刻新闻记者 廖洁 摄影 李长宏）今天上午，湖南省委书记、省人大常委会主任杜家毫，省委副书记、省长许达哲，省政协主席李微微等省领导来到省林科院试验林场，与干部群众一道参加义务植树活动。

　　Rednet (Changsha):On February 28, Du Jiahao, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincal Committee and director of the Standing Committee of Hunan People's Congress came to the experimental farm of Hunan Provincial Academy of Forestry to join voluntary tree planting, by the company of Hunan provincial leaders including Xu Dazhe, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of Hunan Province, and Li Weiwei, the chairman of CPPCC Hunan, with the masses.

　　今年义务植树活动的主题是城市建设渣土地绿色重建，此次植树点，正是过去一片倾倒城建渣土的区域。

　　The theme of Voluntary tree-planting campaign of this year is the reconstruction slag land into green field, and the tree-planting spot was a dumping field of construction waste in the past.

　　全民义务植树运动开展以来，湖南累计有8.52亿人次参加义务植树，植树42.42亿株。目前湖南森林覆盖率达到59.64%，活立木蓄积量达到5.26亿立方米，县以上城镇建成区绿化覆盖率达到37.91%。

　　Hunan have 852 million people and times who took part in voluntary tree-planting with 4.242 billion trees, since National Voluntary Tree-planting campaign was launched decades ago. At present, forest coverage rate of Hunan reaches 59.64%, timber stock volume reached 526 million cubic meters; above the county level, green coverage rate in urban is up to 37.91%.
