Hunan Records over 140 Mln Tourist Arrivals in Q1 2017

　　The Hunan Tourism Development Committee announced, on April 20, that Hunan’s tourism industry got off to a great start in the first quarter of 2017. The tourist arrivals have reached more than 140.9 million during the period, an increase of 19.01% over the same period of last year. The tourism revenue amounted to 114.771 billion yuan in the first three months, a year-on-year increase of 23.67%.

　　473 major tourism projects were under construction in the first quarter, with a total investment of 606.028 billion yuan. Among the projects, 106 were related to rural tourism; 93 to self-driving car, motor home, and camping; 31 connected with sports tourism; 45 associated with health tourism; 114 about cultural tourism; 29 concerning business tourism; and 55 related to tourism complex.

　　A total of 30 tourism and cultural projects were among the 230 provincial key projects announced by the Hunan Development and Reform Commission recently.

　　In the first quarter, Hunan has addressed 86 tourism complaints, saving economic losses to tourists of 59,048 yuan. The satisfaction rate of tourists to Hunan reached 99%.
