Executive Vice Governor Chen Xiangqun Meets with Laos Guests

　　Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and Executive Vice Governor Chen Xiangqun met with a delegation headed by Mr. Bounleua PHANDANOUVONG, permanent secretary of the Permanent Secretary Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Lao PDR in Changsha on May 2, 2017.

　　Chen welcomed the Laotian guests and briefed on Hunan’s conditions. He said that Hunan has been attaching great importance to friendly exchanges, and economic and trade cooperation with Laos. In recent years, frequent personnel exchanges, and communication and cooperation between the two sides have made positive progress and fruitful results. It is hoped that both sides will further enhance mutual trust and expand exchanges and cooperation fields. Hunan will continue to provide supports for Laos to carry out various exchanges and cooperation in Hunan, he added.

　　PHANDANOUVONG remarked that Hunan is an important partner of Laos. There have been many Hunan entrepreneurs investing or starting business in Laos. The newly opened Changsha-Vientiane flight route has played an important role in mutual exchanges and collaboration, he said, adding that Laos is willing to strengthen cooperation with Hunan in fields such as education, tourism, economy and trade.
