Beauty of Suining County of Hunan Province

Suining County is located in the southwest of Hunan Province. It boasts secondary forests of silkwood, hemlock, and amentotaxus. The Huangsang forest can absorb 1.5 million tons of carbon dioxide and release about 10,000 tons of oxygen every day. Therefore the County was reputed as “magic oasis” and “natural oxygen bar”. Besides, the county features a variety of ethnic folk customs, including the traditional “Si Yue Ba” Miao Girls’ Festival, which was included in the national intangible cultural heritage list.
