Governor Xu Calls for Better Environmental Protection

Hunan Governor Xu Dazhe attends the summer environmental protection campaign mobilization meeting on June 5, 2017.

　　The Hunan Province summer environmental protection campaign mobilization meeting was held in Changsha on June 5, 2017. Governor Xu Dazhe urged listeners to follow the spirit of President Xi Jinping’s important speeches and implement the decisions made by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council. “We should seize the opportunity of the central government environmental inspection and carry forward environmental protection to fulfill the summer tasks.” He said.

　　Governor Xu emphasized that the CPC committees and government departments at all levels; regulators; industrial parks and zones; and enterprises should perform their responsibilities in line with the unified provincial arrangements and in combination with their practical conditions, detailed plans, and support policies. Technical and financial guarantees should be strengthened to guarantee the summer campaign is a success, he added.

　　Before the meeting, Xu attended the “June 5th World Environment Day” commemorative activities and visited environmental protection volunteer representatives. Provincial leaders Wang Kemin, Yang Guangrong, Zhang Dafang, and Wang Qun also attended the commemorative activities and the meeting.
