2017 National College Entrance Examination Starts

　　A total of 351,500 students began the annual national college entrance examination, known as gaokao, in Hunan’s 254 examination sites on June 7, 2017.

　　Local authorities have taken extra measures to guarantee the examination order and safety for exam takers.

　　The Hunan Meteorological Department forecasted that, between June 6 and June 8, Hunan will see a fine weather on the whole, while being dotted with occasional shower or thundershower.

　　Local authorities worked out an emergency response plan for preventing extreme weather and disaster, and gave instructions to exam takers and examination affairs workers. The paper escorts, accompanying teachers, and drivers received special safety trainings.

　　The meteorological department will deliver real-time weather report to every examination site and cooperate with local flood prevention departments, to prepare for possible emergencies.

　　All examination sites and their surroundings, including water channels, advertising boards, and wall bricks, were intensively inspected to prevent safety hazard.
