灯芯糕,始产于清朝嘉庆年间,距今已有两百多年历史,相传因一个慈母孝儿的故事而得名,由糕粉、糖、桂子油制成,甜而不腻,清香爽口,且形似灯芯,可以点燃,是长沙人最喜爱的传统糕点之一。

  The wick-shaped pastry, looking like a wick, is one of favorite traditional pastries in Changsha. Originated from the reign of Emperor Jiaqing, Qing Dynasty, it has last for more than 200 years, known for the story about a loving mother and her filial son. The wick-shaped pastry is made of glutinous rice flour, white sugar, cinnamon oil, etc. Because of cinnamon oil contained, it is flammable. The wick-shaped pastry tastes sweet, fresh, and pleasant to the palate.

灯芯糕是长沙的代表性传统糕点,因为加入桂子油的缘故,可以点燃。
