Wugang Airport to Open

　　The Shaoyang Government on June 14 announced that, Wugang Airport, Shaoyang’s first civil airport, will open on June 28, 2017.

　　The Beijing-Zhengzhou-Shaoyang line operated by Air China will be the first regular flight at Wugang Airport. The China Express Air (CEA)’S Chongqing/Guiyang-Zhangjiajie-Shaoyang-Changsha line will be operated on a daily basis next month. The air fares and flight information of the two lines are to be confirmed.

　　Next, Shanghai-Shaoyang-Kunming, Shenzhen-Shaoyang-Xi’an, Guangzhou-Shaoyang-Chengdu, and Haikou-Shaoyang-Changsha lines will be open.

　　The airport site is at the altitude of 460 meters, the highest in Hunan. It is 100 km from downtown Shaoyang, and 9 km from downtown Wugang. As a tourism-oriented airport, it is only 30 km from Langshan, a world natural heritage site, and 50 km from Nanshan National Park.

　　Wugang Airport is the7th Hunan civil airport, alongside Changsha Huanghua International Airport, Changde Taohuayuan Airport, Zhangjiajie Hehua Airport, Huaihua Zhijiang Airport, Yongzhou Lingling Airport, and Hengyang Nanyue Airport.
