Hunan to Promote TCM in Middle East

　　The First Hospital of Hunan University of Chinese Medicine (FHUCM), Xie He Medical Center (XHMC) in Dubai, and Neptunes Group reached an agreement on June 23, 2017. They will work together on establishing a FHUCM Dubai-China Xie He Traditional Chinese Medical Treatment Center, to promote traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) to the world under the “Belt and Road” Initiative.

　　The FHUCM will be the major coordinator for tripartite medical technology exchanges, including traditional Chinese medical treatment skills, prescriptions, medicinal slices, drugs, and hospital preparations. The three parties will develop custom-tailor treatments and drugs for the Middle East patients, and cooperate in promoting TCM and treatment methods in that region.

　　According to the agreement, 30-50 medical institutions will be established in the Middle East in next three to five years. These will be involved in a “Belt and Road” TCM promotion demonstration project in the Middle East.
