CPAD Director Liu Yongfu Inspects Poverty Alleviation Progress in Hunan

　　The State Council Leading Group Office of Poverty Alleviation and Development (CPAD) Party Group leader and Director Liu Yongfu visited Jiangyong County and Jianghua Yao Autonomous County of Yongzhou City, and Yizhang County of Chenzhou City between July 15 to 16, 2017, to inspect poverty alleviation progress. Hunan Vice Governor Yang Guangrong accompanied him on the tour.

　　The Jiangyong and Jianghua administrations of the Social Participation in Poverty Alleviation and Development of China have introduced the “Internet plus” mode to end poverty, which was praised by Director Liu. He pointed out that all the social resources should be mobilized and more social forces instructed to participate in, so as to synergize poverty alleviation. He also talked online with the poverty alleviation volunteer expert and academician Yuan Longping on targeted poverty alleviation.

　　Director Liu learnt about funds proportion and bonus sharing mode while studying the Jiangyong summer orange assets income poverty alleviation project base and the Yizhang Mangshan black tea industrial demonstration park. He said, “The profits of newly-added financial poverty alleviation projects should be transferred into the collective economic benefits of the village. They can be used to set up public service positions, strengthen rural infrastructure construction, and support poverty-stricken households as temporary allowances to encourage their active participation.”

　　During his stay, Liu also visited Hexing Village, Xiaopu Town and Lanyao Village, Lanxi Yao Minority Township of Jiangyong County; Jianghua JoHo New Energy Co. Ltd., Junxian leather factory of Dalupu Town, a pig breeding base of Wudong Village, and Yizhang Baijieli Packaging and Printing Co., Ltd., and discussed with local cadres and representatives.
