Tujia Brocade Made to Mark 60th Birthday of Xiangxi Prefecture

On August 3, 2017, embroiders presented a Tujia brocade at Rebala Village, Miaoertan Town, Longshan County. The work is 60 meters in length and 1.6 meters in width. It features various patterns such as flowers and plants; birds and beasts; and, other objects. It took eight Tujia brocade artists nearly 8 months to complete the work. The brocade displays the characteristics of Tujia minority, and will be presented as a gift to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture.
