Changsha, Kagoshima Celebrate 35th Anniversary of Friendly-city Ties

A ceremony was held on August 25 to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the founding of the friendly-city ties between Changsha and Kagoshima of Japan. The Changsha and Kagoshima Exchange Agreement (2018-2022) was also inked.

  Kagoshima is the capital city of Kagoshima Prefecture at the south western tip of the island of Kyushu in Japan. Since the Changsha-Kagoshima friendship established in 1982, the two cities have maintained good communication and cooperation. More than 4,300 people in 300 batches exchanged visits, contributing to the educational; economic and trade; cultural; sports; and, tourism collaboration.

  The two cities’ representatives planted “friendship trees” at Songyahu Wetland Park that day.
