Vice Governor He Baoxiang Meets with Japan MHI Guests

　　Hunan Vice Governor He Baoxiang met with a Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI) delegation in Changsha on Nov. 14, 2017. The group was headed by MHI Senior Vice President and Chief Regional Officer (China), and MHI (China) Co., Ltd. President and General Manager Kaoru Aoki.

　　Vice Governor He introduced that Hunan has vigorously implemented the “innovation-driven opening up and the rise of Hunan” strategy, and maintained a steady and healthy economic and social development. The provincial GDP in the first three quarters of this year increased by 7.5% over the same period of last year. He said, “MHI is a world-renowned manufacturing enterprise, and Hunan is also a major manufacturing province taking the lead in engineering machinery and rail transit technologies.” “Hunan has attached great importance to environmental protection, and has regarded the Xiangjiang River protection and treatment as the ‘No. 1 Key Project’. We hope both sides will conduct further exchange and cooperation in manufacturing industry and environmental protection in the future,” he added.

　　Mr. Aoki was deeply impressed by Hunan’s surge development in machinery manufacturing and automobile industry, and expected for a rapid industrial development stage. He noted, “MHI not only boasts the ‘department store in machinery manufacturing’, but also possesses rich experience and technology in environmental protection. We are willing to contribute to Hunan’s industrial development and environmental protection.”
