Hunan, ZTE Further Cooperative Partnership

　　The Changsha Municipal People’s Government and the Zhongxing Telecommunication Equipment Corporation (ZTE Corporation) signed a cooperation framework agreement on November 25, 2017. The ZTE Corporation will invest 1 billion yuan in Hunan to build a global terminal intelligent manufacturing headquarters base. After the signing ceremony, CPC Hunan Provincial Committee Secretary and Hunan Provincial People’s Congress Standing Committee Director Du Jiahao met with Yin Yimin, chairman of ZTE Corporation and his entourage.

　　Other Hunan provincial leaders including Hu Henghua and Xie Jianhui, and CPC ZTE Corporation Committee Secretary Fan Qingfeng also attended.

　　According to the agreement, ZTE will build a global terminal intelligent manufacturing headquarters base (i.e. ZTE Changsha Base Expansion Project) in the Changsha Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone, and conduct comprehensive R &D and production of storage products, wired communication software, and cloud terminal software and related business. The project strives to achieve an annual output value of 6 billion yuan by 2020 and a total annual output value of 10 billion yuan together with the former Changsha Industrial Base of ZTE Corporation.

　　Secretary Du said, “Since the signing of the strategic cooperation framework agreement between Hunan and ZTE in 2014, the cooperation projects of both sides have been pragmatically promoted and the cooperation fields expanded continuously. ZTE has set up R &D centers and production bases in Hunan in succession, which has greatly promoted the development of Hunan’s electronic information and mobile Internet.” He expected ZTE would continue to regard Hunan as a strategic focus for the new round of enterprise development, and further increase its investment in projects layout and R &D bases in Hunan. “Hunan will fully support ZTE to speed up its development in Hunan and assist its expansion.” Du added.

　　Chairman Yin remarked that ZTE Corporation will seize the development opportunity, integrate resources, and expand the scale and capacity of its Changsha base, to enhance R &D and innovation capabilities and speed up formation of a complete corporation-based regional layout. He promised to make every effort to contribute more to Hunan's economic and social development while realizing the corporation value.
