Hunan-EU Trade Grows Stably in First 10 Months

　　The Customs announced that, between January and October 2017, Hunan’s imports and exports to the EU countries totaled 24.58 billion yuan, increasing by 51.2% year on year. Machinery and electronic products topped the foreign trading list. This October, the CRRC Zhuzhou Electric Co., Ltd. was awarded a German order, which was the first mass order of Hunan-made MW-wind turbines to the EU.

　　In 2017, Hunan’s monthly imports and exports to the EU has grown stably. Germany, UK, and the Netherland were the largest partners.

　　The CRRC Zhuzhou Electric Co., Ltd. contracted with Senvion, a German company providing wind energy solutions, on Oct. 18, 2017. It will deliver at least 100 sets of 3.7MW-144 wind turbines in three years. This marks China’s first mass order of MW-wind turbine from the EU market.

　　In 2017, the machinery and electronic products is on the top of both the imported and exported commodity lists to the EU. As of October, Hunan’s exports of these products to the EU totaled 6.18 billion yuan, increasing by 59% and taking up 37.4% of its total exports to the EU. Hunan’s imported such kinds of goods from EU was 5.95 billion yuan, increasing by 46.6%, and 74% of the total imports from the EU.
