IKEA Changsha LIVAT Complex Starts Construction

　　The IKEA Changsha LIVAT Complex project officially began construction at the Changsha Yanghu Lake New Town on November 28, 2017. CPC Hunan Provincial Standing Committee member and CPC Changsha Municipal Committee Secretary Hu Henghua announced its start.

　　With a total investment of about 4 billion yuan, the project is invested and developed by the IKEA Centres, a global shopping centre company of the IKEA Group. There will be the LIVAT Centre (i.e. shopping mall), the first IKEA store of Hunan Province, the creative office building, apartments, and hotels within the estimated 400,000-sqm gross floor area. It is expected to be completed and open to the public in 2020. The project will bring a brand new one-stop party, shopping, office, and residential experience to consumers in Changsha and Hunan. The IKEA store will open for business in 2019, featuring more than 8,200 kinds of IKEA products such as furniture and household items.

　　IKEA Centres China Region CEO Ding Hui said “Changsha City, located in central China, has witnessed rapid economic development. Yanghu Lake area is situated at the national Xiangjiang New Area, Changsha City. It enjoys profound advantages of industrial cluster and integrated transportation hub, which is suitable for us to build an international and interregional gathering and experiencing center.”
