On January 2, Hunan Governor Xu Dazhe inspected the development of Hunan’s “Internet Plus government service” in Changsha. Xu stressed, “We should pursue a people focused development philosophy, build an ‘Internet Plus Government Service’ integration platform that helps solve the problems of public concern, and deliver services to the people through information technology. "

CPC Hunan Provincial Standing Committee member and Executive Vice Governor Chen Xiangqun and Hunan Government Secretary General Wang Qun accompanied Xu on the tour.

After debriefing related work reports including the updated Hunan government’s website, Xu pointed out, “We should give full play to the publicity and guidance role of the website, and increase the social recognition and identity of ‘Internet Plus government service’.”

Presently, the integration platform has sorted out 432 provincial items that can be processed online, 30 of which can be handled online completely.

Xu remarked, “‘Internet Plus government service’ is of significance to deepen reform of streamlining administration, delegating powers, and improving regulation and services; further transform government functions; improve governance; facilitate services for the people; and optimize business environment. ”Xu added, “Efforts should be made to promote government information sharing and disclosure, improve government transparency for better public oversight, and acquire precisely public service demands through big data to provide supports in decision making for governments at all levels.”
