Hunan, CMC to Enhance Cooperation

　　CPC Hunan Provincial Committee Secretary and Hunan Provincial People’s Congress Standing Committee Director Du Jiahao met in Changsha with China Minmetals Corporation (CMC) Chairman and Party Secretary Tang Fuping and his entourage on April 17, 2018. Both sides exchanged ideas on promoting transformation and upgrading of Hunan’s non-ferrous metals industry and strengthening future cooperation.

　　Provincial leaders Xie Jianhui and Zhang Jianfei also attended.

　　Secretary Du said, “In recent years, Hunan has conscientiously implemented the green development idea, vigorously promoted the closure and transformation of the non-ferrous metal enterprises, and accelerated formation of a complete industrial chain integrating mining, smelting, deep processing, and comprehensive utilization of solid waste.” He believed that Hunan and CMC have sound basis and broad space for collaboration. “We will continue to support CMC’s development in Hunan, and further strengthen cooperation in relevant fields, to jointly promote Hunan's non-ferrous metals industry.” He added.

　　Chairman Tan remarked that they would further optimize industrial restructuring and layout in Hunan. He promised to strengthen cooperation with Hunan universities and research institutes, to continuously improve the partnership level, expand cooperation, and seek common development for both sides.
