16th Pan-Pearl River Delta Regional Science and Technology Cooperation Joint Conference Opens

　　Recently, the 16th Pan-Pearl River Delta Regional Science and Technology Cooperation Joint Conference was held in Changsha. Its theme was "Establishing deep connections with Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and Promoting Regional Interconnection, Intercommunication and Integration".

　　Director of the Hunan Science and Technology Department Lai Mingyong addressed at the conference. He introduced the basic situation of Hunan's scientific and technological innovation, and pointed out that Hunan would undertake the development of equipment manufacturing industry, new materials, biomedicine, new generation of information technology, and deep processing of agricultural products in accordance with local conditions. He noted that Hunan would enhance its connections with the scientific and technological innovative resources of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, promote joint research and development, joint construction of platform and achievement transformation, and exchange with the international cooperation platforms in the "Pan-Pearl" region including ASEAN and South Asia, to accelerate Hunan’s scientific and technological innovative cooperation of the “Belt and Road” Initiative.
