On December 25, the "Mao Zedong" locomotive T1 leaves Beijing Railway Station after its fifth transformation.

  On December 25, the "Mao Zedong" locomotive T1, leaving Beijing Railway Station, was officially put into operation after its fifth transformation.

  The train arrived at its terminal station, Changsha Railway Station, on the morning of December 26, the 121st birthday of the late Chinese leader Mao Zedong.

  Made in October, 1946, "Mao Zedong" locomotive is now under the administration of Fengtai Locomotive Depot of Beijing Railway Bureau. Over 68 years, it has been transformed from originally steam locomotive to diesel locomotive and finally to current harmonious type 3D great power electric locomotive, thus witnessing the railway development of China. It has traveled 9.63 million kilometers, being honored as "the most powerful locomotive".
