Dong'an Zishui Wetland Park Approved as National Pilot Area

　　The Forestry Bureau of Dong'an County announced that Dong'an Zishui Wetland Park has been approved as a national pilot wetland park.

　　The wetland park covers an area of 1,096 hectares, of which 63.41% (965 hectares) is wetland. It mainly comprises of Zishui River in the county and Gaoyan Reservoir, along with artificial wetland on both sides of Zishui River, flood plains, and some mountainous areas surrounding Gaoyan Reservoir.

　　Vascular plants of 1,100 species of 676 genera from 195 families were identified in the park, of which 293 species are wetland plants and 8 are specially protected by the state. There are 192 kinds of wild vertebrate animals, with 15 under national II grade protection.
