Hunan Greets 'the Beginning of Spring'

　　Citizens of Changsha visit Orange Isle for relaxation and fun on Feb. 4, the ‘Beginning of Spring (the 1st solar term).’ On the day, Changsha just embraces the long-lost fine day and many citizens go out to feel the breath of spring.

At noon of Feb.4, many people go outdoors and relax in Orange Isle Park.

　　On Feb.4, villagers are pleased to check their handmade blood sausages at Taoyuanping Village in Xiyao Township of Linwu County. On the day, the local Yao nationality celebrates the beginning of spring by butchering pigs and making sausage in the hope of praying for good harvest and blessing the country peace and prosperity.

　　On the day, the popular cockfighting activities are carried out at Huangdu Dong Culture Village in Dong Autonomous County of Tongdao. Almost one hundred cockfighting fans are attracted to the game.
