Hunan's Investment in Key Projects Reaches over 30 Billion

　　Hunan Province has seen smooth progress of development of key projects. From January to July this year, the investment in the first batch of 40 provincial key projects has reached 30.329 billion yuan, accomplishing 55% of the annual objective.

　　This year, Hunan has taken active measures to promote development of key projects, releasing the list of the first batch of 40 provincial key projects in April, with an estimated total investment of 193.8 billion yuan and an annual investment of 55.2 billion. Presently, progress in the key projects indicates that these projects will be completed within the year. Three rail lines, four highways and nine intercity roads in Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan City Cluster will be put into use. Projects completed or to be completed within the year include Zhangjiajie Hehua International Airport, Changde Power Grid and Shanghai Volkswagen - Changsha Factory.

　　Progress also has been made in the preparatory work of some key projects, which predicates the launch within the year. Such projects include the Jiuquan-Hunan±800 Kilovolt HVDC (high volt direct current) Project, multiple tracks of the Yuhuai (Chongqing-Huaihua) Railway, and Changsha Metro Line No. 5.
