Fastest HSR produced by Hunan puts into use in Malaysia

　 Rednet (Changsha): The world’s fastest meter gauge HSR was put into use in Malaysia September 8, according to CSR Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Co.,Ltd., Hunan Province. The rail connects Singapore and Malaysia’s town Padang Besar with more than 600 kilometers at 5 hours for the whole distance, which is 7 hours less than the original tour.

    The rail and trains constist 60 vehicles and 10 trains. The first train,  off-lined last November, is the world’ fastest meter gauge HSR currently designed with average speed of 160 km/h. It reached the speed at 176 km/h after the 40,000 km no-load tests, overload and reconnecting tests, and the 10,000 kilometers of trouble-free operation tests. 　　

    These vehicles and trains were designed, produced and tested through the third-party certification with the world’s most advanced standards of European and the standards International Railway Alliance. They are equipped with a bar, toilets, prayer rooms, luggage racks and other facilities for improving traveling comfort,according to Zhou Ande, an expert of CSR Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Co.,Ltd., Hunan Province.
