Chinese art troupe presents gala performance in Albania

  TIRANA, Oct. 25 (Xinhua) -- A Chinese gala performance presented by a visiting Chinese art troupe and Tirana University Confucius Institute was presented in Tirana on Saturday, bringing Chinese artistic shows to local audience.

  The artistic group from Changsha University of Science and Technology in south central China's Hunan Province with the Confucius Institute of Tirana performed Chinese martial skills and played the musical instruments of flutes, pipa and bamboo lutes. The art troupe also performed peacock dance and "Melody of the Dragon's Boat" song.

  The performance, entitled "Enchanting China, Charming Hunan," brought traditional Chinese songs and dances from different parts of China, which were well received by local residents.

  The Confucius Institute of Tirana was established in 2013. Apart from setting up Chinese courses at different levels, the Confucius Institute regularly launches a series of activities to promote Chinese culture with the objective of helping students gain better insight into Chinese society.
