White Cranes Flock to Luhu Lake

　　Photo taken on the afternoon of Jan. 3 show a flock of cranes flying over Luhu Lake of Yuanjiang City. On that day, staff in the city’s fishery station observed 76 white cranes under first-class state protection and about 160 grey cranes under second-class state protection here. White crane is one of the world’s endangered animals, with only 3,000-odd left in the world.
