Hunan Maps out Tourism Planning Blueprints for 2016

  Tourism departments of Hunan’s 13 cities and one prefecture recently held a meeting on the work of tourism of the province and finalized the new tourism planning blueprints during the 13th Five-year Plan period (2016-2020). To promote a splendid Xiaoxiang and happy Hunan, distinctive tourism activities to be held in 2016 for prospective tourists were planned by each city and prefecture, as follows:

Changsha: offering four city sightseeing tour lines

  Hengyang: planning a new tour for appreciating time-honored culture at Shigu Academy and natural scenery on Dongzhou Island

Zhuzhou: offering a cruise route around Xiangjiang’s three featured islands

Xiangtan: recommending Zhaoshan Mountain

Shaoyang: offering a variety of festive activities

Yueyang: holding Dongting Lake Ecotourism Festival

Changde:building an exotic shopping street featuring authentic Germany flavor

Zhangjiajie: building 16 tourist service centers and opening new tour buses

  Yiyang: recommending the elements on “hometown of Olympic champions and a paradise for sports and recreation”

Chenzhou: constructing a 142-km-long greenway for sightseeing

  Yongzhou: boasting newly-opened trains and flights to metropolis of Shanghai, Shenzhen and Kunming

  Hiaihua: offering classic travel routes from Huitong, Jingshou to Tongdao for tourists experiencing Dong and Miao minorities’ culture and picturesque scenery

Loudi: turning Shuifu Wetland Park into a comprehensive tourist resort

  Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture: opening two rural tourism travel routes for tourists feeling the mystery of Tujia ethnic group and experiencing authentic Miao culture
