Giant Monkey King Appears in Shiniu Village National Geopark

Tourists take photo with staff in monkey costume on the glass suspension bridge.

A 10-meter-tall “Monkey King” with a golden cudgel in his hand appeared on the glass skywalk at Shiniu Village National Geological Park on Jan. 25, to greet the upcoming Spring Festival or the year of the Monkey. The lovable figure has attracted many tourists to take photo with him.

The 180-meter-high and 300-meter-long suspension bridge opened to tourists at Shiniu Village National Geopark, a national-level geological park in Pingjiang County, Central China's Hunan province, on Sept 24, 2015. It is reportedly the first upper-high glass-made suspension bridge in service so far in China.
