　　In Hunan Archaeological Report Meeting held in Changsha on Jan.9, 2016, people focused on the topic of prehistoric archaeology founding in Hunan Province.

　　Guo Weimin, minister of Hunan provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology, said that Liyang Plain and Dongting Lake area are still the key area for revealing the prehistoric history of Hunan Province, and this year's archaeological work of Chishan Island in Yuanjiang, Chegushan site in Huarong County, Tanglin site in Changde City and car sites,Sunjiagang Site in Li County etc. have greatly enriched our understanding of prehistoric cultures in the region, especially the culture of Shijiahe period.

　　In 2016, Hunan archaeological work explored the area of more than 3 million square meters, and more than 10,000 pieces of cultural relics were found.
