Putou Village: Best Impressions

湖南邵阳市城步苗族自治县铺头村距离城步县城25公里，80%以上人口是苗族。目前古寨中留存诸多明清传下的古屋，其中的“枫木古屋”最为讲究风水，同一房间采用五种不同材质的木柱，代表五行风水，祈求福禄财气。

　　Putou Village, 25 km away from Chengbu Miao Autonomous County, Shaoyang, Hunan, has over 80% population of Miao people. Ancient houses are inherited from the Ming and Qing Dynasty, of which the maple ancient house stresses on Fengshui. One room adopts five wooden pillars made of different materials, which represents the five elements of Fengshui praying for happiness, wealth, blessings and luck.

这是清光绪二十四年的护龙桥，护龙桥中央供奉的关云长雕像，寄托了村民千百年来的忠义情怀。

　　This is Hulong Bridge built in the 24thyear of the reign of Emperor Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty. The statue of Guan Yu is enshrined in the central Hulong Bridge, representing loyalism of villagers for thousands of years.

拦门酒、敬茶歌、敬酒歌、留客歌把铺头苗族人民的质朴和热情表现得淋漓尽致。苗族男女喜爱唱歌跳舞，歌舞传情，唱出了甜蜜的爱情，跳出了欢快的生 活。

　　Lanmen Wine and songs for serving tea, serving wine and retaining guests embody Miao people’s simplicity and enthusiasm. Miao women and men are fond of singing and dancing to express their desire for romantic love and happy life.

铺头村目前还保留着很多传统习俗，其中打糍粑别有一番韵味。
