　　湖南省永顺县万坪镇地势辽阔，是湘西土家族苗族自治州内最大的冲积平原，因而得名“十万坪”。全镇以土家族为主，民风淳朴、民族文化浓厚。

　　Wanping Town, Yongshun County, Hunan Province is the largest alluvial plain in Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, and thus is named after “Shiwan Ping”. The town, mainly populated by simple and honest Tujia people, has rich ethnic culture.

　　这些年，万坪镇农业迅猛发展，工业转型升级，投资3.4亿元的凯迪生物质电厂即将在万坪镇建成发电；投资近7000万元的页岩气开采落户晓寨；光伏发电正在选址；3家农产品精深加工企业已经落户，万坪镇的发展已经步入快车道。

　　Over the past years, Wanping Town has rapid development in agriculture, industrial restructuring and upgrading. Kaidi Biomass Power Plant invested 340 million yuan will complete construction and generate electricity in Wanping town; shale gas exploitation invested about 70 million yuan will be settled in Xiaozhai Village; photovoltaic power generation is under site selection; three enterprises for agricultural products’ intensive processing have settled in Wanping town.
