Changsha Oil-paper Umbrella Cultural Tourism Festival Opens

　　The Changsha Oil-paper Umbrella Cultural Tourism Festival was launched at the Windmill Valley Fairytale Town, Changsha County, on August 19, 2017.

　　Varied colorful oil-paper umbrellas dot the forest, grass, and lake, forming an oil-paper umbrella corridor and special sceneries. Several oil-paper umbrella makers paint patterns onto the umbrellas at the site.

The forest is decorated with colorful oil-paper umbrellas.

The Windmill Valley Fairytale Town is located at Huangxing Town, Changsha County.

Oil-paper umbrella is a type of paper umbrella that originated from China more than a millennium ago.

The umbrella is made of a handmade bamboo frame and the surface of the umbrella skin is brushed with tung oil.
