　　长沙万达文华酒店任职总经理达维斯·谢礼夫认为，抢滩长沙市场的酒店只增不减，正是反映了当地市场的发展潜力和消费者高涨的需求。长沙这座城市发展的很快，经济相较南昌发达，也更加开放，对于外国人来说，长沙更易于生活。长沙是一座富有娱乐精神的城市，尤其受到湖南卫视的影响，很多明星会来到这里，长沙万达文华酒店经常有机会接待更多的明星。长沙的夜生活很丰富，这一点和拉斯维加斯有点相似，这种特色的娱乐文化也能给酒店业带来附加值。

　　Davis: Changsha is totally different and more developed than Nanchang. Changsha is much easier for a foreigner to live in. Changsha is an entertainment city. We have Hunan TV here, which gives us opportunities to meet a lot of stars, and some of them stay at Wanda Vista Changsha often. It gives an edge and added value to Changsha, which is different from other cities. The night life here is good, similar to Las Vegas.

　　英国人达米恩在长沙建立了大型外籍人士社区成名后，建立了网站和官方微信账号，告诉在长沙的外国人他们需要了解的一切。

　　Briton Damion Braithwaite has made a name for himself within Changsha's large expat community, after establishing a website and official WeChat account telling local foreigners everything they need to know about the city.

　　“长沙悠闲的生活方式和长沙人的友善吸引了不少人来到这里，是中国十大最幸福城市之一。”达米恩这样向他的朋友们介绍这座他生活超过十年的城市。

　　Perhaps people are attracted to Changsha because of its laid-back lifestyle and friendly citizens? The city boasts titles such as "China's Top 10 Happiest City" .Damion, known as Daming to his friends, agrees, saying that Changsha is one of the happiest places he has ever lived.

　　“我是英国人，我的妻子是陕西本地人，我们在中国旅行了很多地方，但是我们决定在长沙定居，因为我们都非常喜欢这个城市，”达米恩说。

　　"I'm British and my wife is a Shaanxi local. We've travelled a lot places in China but we decided to settle down in Changsha because we both love the city so much," Damion says.

　　马里奥的德国西餐厅开在小区里。门店有着“柏林小镇”几个中英文大字。

　　Mario's restaurant is in the district where he lives.It is with a sign several Chinese characters 柏林小镇 ( meaning Berlin Town) .

　　马里奥出身厨师世家，曾在多个国家的米其林餐厅工作。10年前，30岁出头的马里奥来到中国，在杭州、北京等地游玩一圈后来到长沙。最开始，他在一家啤酒屋工作，后来被酒店喊过去当主厨，也有了更多朋友。在那里，他认识了同在酒店工作的刘佩。两人走到了一起，后来一起开了这家餐厅。

　　Mario is a chef and he has worked in Michelin-starred restaurants in several countries. Ten years ago, Mario came to Hangzhou, Beijing and other places and later he settled in Changsha City. He worked in a beer house, later he worked as a chef in a hotel, where he met his wife Liu Pei who worked in the hotel. The two got married and later opened the restaurant together.

　　作为一个创业者，马里奥见证了长沙的变化带给他创业上的便利。举个例子，店里的食材全部空运自德国，一般四天左右就能到达长沙。马里奥说，长沙直飞法兰克福的航班已经开通，只需要16个小时。“长沙的政府服务越来越好了”，“以前我们去办什么事，要排很久队，现在基本上半小时内就能搞定。”

　　As a star-up in Changsha city, Mario has witnessed the changes that brought him entrepreneurial convenience. For example, the ingredients in the store are all airlifted from Germany to Changsha within four days. Mario said that it is just 16 hours of the direct flight from Frankfurt to Changsha."Changsha government service is getting better now. We used to wait for a long time for a certain service, but now any service can be done in about half an hour."

　　Foreign students experience Chinese New Year in Changsha

　　An activity celebrating Chinese New Year was held recently at a community in the Furong district of Changsha city, in Central China's Hunan province, which showcased Chinese folk customs and intangible cultural heritage. More than 20 foreign students from Hunan Agricultural University took part in the festive activity, along with local residents.The community invited folk artistes to teach them how to make sugar paintings, to paint opera masks, and sugar-coated fruit. Students and children are attracted to the activity in a happy and peaceful atmosphere.

　　1月20日上午，芙蓉区东湖街道东沙社区举行的“爱心东沙行”活动邀请了来自湖南农业大学的20余名留学生走进社区，与居民一起剪窗花、DIY京剧脸谱、画糖画等活动，在亲身体验中感受新奇有趣的“中国年，民俗风”。活动现场，社区特意邀请民间艺人教大家制作糖画、面人，品尝冰糖葫芦，吸引留学生和小朋友参与其中，烘托出欢乐祥和的气氛，让节目更具亲切感。
