Nine Hunan Foreign Trade Bases Gain National Status

　　Nine foreign trade transformation & upgrading bases in Hunan province have been promoted to national level, such as the base in Changsha city that specializes in tea, and the base in Xiangtan city specializing in pigs; and Hunan now ranks second in the number of foreign trade transformation &upgrading bases at national level in central China. The Hunan Provincial Commerce Department announced this on March 25.

　　The products of the recognized foreign trade bases of this batch cover tea, pigs, fruits and vegetables, bags, hair products, lighter, ceramics, jewelry items, and textiles, mainly located in Changsha, Xiangtan, Yongzhou, Chenzhou, Shaoyang, Shaodong, and Liling. The newly announced foreign trade bases possess the following characteristics: complex regional distribution, products rich in varieties, distinctive regional features, and export-oriented industry boasting distinct competitive advantages. The recognition of the bases will help improve the upgrading and transformationition of foreign trade mix, contribute to supply-side structural reform, and facilitate the enhancement of international competitiveness of traditional industry.

　　Changsha foreign trade transformation &upgrading base, specializing in textiles; Yongzhou foreign trade transformation &upgrading base, specializing in fruits and vegetables; Shaoyang foreign trade transformation &upgrading base, specializing in hair products; Shaodong foreign trade transformation &upgrading base, specializing in bags; Shaodong foreign trade transformation &upgrading base, specializing in lighters; Liling foreign trade transformation &upgrading base, specializing in ceramics; and Chenzhou foreign trade transformation &upgrading base, specializing in jewelry items.
